Overview
Geography is an important subject for students to study. When we explore from a STEM perspective, with an objective other than to memorize facts, students retain the information better.
In this Challenge, Trainees will research every State in the USA. The goal is to compile information to create a STEM guide.
We have added a lesson for every State with different information available, however, this is only the tip of the iceberg. We hope you will pick an area to focus on and really research it.
Once the Trainee has picked a theme for their final project, they will research specific information. They will then work through the STEM Training Process to create their guide. We use the term ‘guide’ loosely because we want Trainees to get creative. As always we are only limited by our imaginations. The Guide could be a video presentation, a comic book, an animation, a game, a notebook, a booklet, a cookbook, a travel guide, a newsletter, a blog, and the list is endless.
They will be able to use their Trainee Portfolio to work through the Challenge and record their work.
So are you ready to pack your bags and spent this summer going on a STEM adventure around the United States of America?
